Brief History and Introduction

Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore was established in 1887 exclusively for obstetrical delivery care to the pregnant mothers. It was one of the institutions working under the Directorate General health Services when in 1998 it was upgraded and given attachment at 100 bedded teaching unit with King Edward Medical College, and allied Hospitals. The institution names after lady Aitchison, wife of viceroy to India Lord Aitchison. The Principal KEMC/ Allied Hospitals, Lahore is the head of the institution working under Board of management.

The catchments area of Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore is the walled old city including Gawal Mandi, Bhati, Lahori. Station, Rang Mahal, Shah Almi, Badami Bagh, Baghbanpura. However due to better service, other areas and out of district patients also attend.
