2 day Comprehensive visit of KEMU by PMDC Delegation, led by Senior Professors and VC KEMU

A delegation from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, led by senior professors and the vice chancellor, conducted a comprehensive two-day visit to King Edward Medical University. The purpose of this visit was to assess the performance of all teaching and non-teaching departments at the university in accordance with the standards set by PMDC.

Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Ijaz Hussain, Registrar Prof. Syed Asghar Naqi, Deans, and a significant number of faculty members. They were provided with a detailed presentation about all the university’s departments.

The inspection team diligently reviewed various aspects, including faculty management, the curriculum for MBBS students, infrastructure, medical equipment and machinery, and all hospital departments, ensuring compliance with the prescribed standards. The delegation will compile their findings and submit final recommendations and a detailed report to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

PMDC will then use this information to make recommendations to the university in alignment with its own standards. To conclude the visit, the delegation members were honored with a commemorative shield from the university, presented by Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz.
