For planning, management and preservation of such a grandeur a planning and development department is an absolute necessity. CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Strengthening of KEMU
In order to enhance the capacity of Patiala Block Higher Education Commission funded this project. It has been built behind the Patiala block. Main academic components of this building are Examination Hall, Two Lecture theatres, Library, Examination office, an Auditorium and large underground parking. It is near completion.
2. HEC Funded Girl Hostel
Project supported by HEC funding houses three hundred female students. It has two wings A and B and is five story building. It is near completion.
3. Government Funded Girls Hostel
Existing Block of girls hostel was extended and funded by the government of Punjab. Two new blocks were added. Students have occupied block two and block three is being completed.
4. Renovation of Biochemistry and Physiology

NEW PROJECTS
1. New Campus
Government of Punjab has provided land (229 Acres) on Muridke Narowal Road 16 kilometer from Muridke. Project is in the process of architectural and conceptual planning. A new university campus with replica of Patiala block, hospital and housing complex will be built.
2. Dr. Maqbool Ahmed Block
This building is being sponsored by Ahmad Foundation USA. This is an initiative taken by the Alumni of KEMU and is an overseas funding.
