A new patient lift was inaugurated today at the Orthopaedic block of Mayo Hospital/ KEMU

A new patient lift was inaugurated today at the Orthopaedic block of Mayo Hospital. It was donated by the philanthropic organization ‘Friends of Mayo Hospital’.

The decades old lift was replaced with a brand-new lift costing 5 million Rupees and Orthopaedic patients were facilitated. The generous contribution was made by Mr. Tariq Mustafa who donated in the name of his daughter Ms. Rabia Mustafa.

After the inauguration a ceremony was held in the auditorium of Orthopaedic department. Various projects carried out in the Mayo hospital were projected and elaborated by the officials of Friends of Mayo Hospital. A certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. Tariq Mustafa and warmly greeted by the audience.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz expressed his gratitude to the worthy donors for their generosity and support for the sacred cause. CEO Mayo Hospital Prof. Ahsan Nauman saluted the passion and the vision behind the projects. COO Prof. Faisal Masood thanked the guests for their altruism and compassion.

Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz led the delegation on an extensive tour of the recently renovated A&E block. The visitors expressed profound admiration for the quality of the completed work and the services made available to the public in a government hospital.

The occasion was graced with the presence of dignitaries from Friends of Mayo Hospital, Mrs. Fatima Fazal, Mrs Ambrin Irfan, Mrs. Laila Nusrat, Prof. Tina Manzar, Brig (R) Shadab Ali Khan, Ms. Fatima Malik, Mr. Usman Tarar and other members & guests.
