Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Mohsin Naqvi Inaugurated Ibn.E.Sina Reading Room and Cafeteria of KEMU

“Another Promise Fulfilled”

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated Ibn-e-Sina Reading Room and Cafeteria of King Edward Medical University after the upgrade.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi along with the Punjab Cabinet visited the upgraded reading room and cafeteria. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and provincial Ministers reviewed the facilities provided in the reading room and cafeteria.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the kitchen of the cafeteria and also observed the food preparation process. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and provincial ministers also met the doctors present in the reading room and cafeteria. He asked about the facilities and doctors thanked Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for the upgradation of the reading room and cafeteria.

After the inauguration, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi talked to the doctors and said, “Congratulations to the students for the reading room and the new cafeteria. A few months ago, I saw the condition of the cafeteria in a bad condition. The AC of the reading room was in a bad state and dusty. As the reading room has been upgraded to international standards, now it is your responsibility to take care of it. He said that I would be really happy when the entire Mayo Hospital is upgraded, I hope that the up-gradation of A&E block of Mayo Hospital will be ready by January 31.

The hospital management and the Vice Chancellor will take ownership of the upgrade work which will be completed soon. He said that I visited each floor and reviewed the progress of the ongoing work. In the next phase, the exterior of Mayo Hospital will also be made new. The required funds will be provided for the upgrade of the hospital.

He further said that there are no intensive care doctors in the emergency across Punjab, we have to bring these doctors, even if the services of these doctors are obtained from abroad. Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, Secretaries of Health, Communication and Works department and related officials were also present at the occasion.
