Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Arrived at Police Welfare Hospital Qila Gujjar Singh Recently Attached KEMU

The Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram arrived at the Police Welfare Hospital Qila Gujjar Singh. The purpose of this occasion was to visit the Police Welfare Hospital which has been recently attached to the King Edward Medical University and to discuss the measures taken in this regard. IG Punjab Police (KEMCOLIAN) Dr. Usman Anwar, welcomed the Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram.

Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz and IG Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar visited the martyrs’ memorial and laid floral wreaths. On this occasion, prayers were also offered for the martyrs of Punjab Police. Along with the Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz and IGP Dr. Usman Anwar also visited the hospital at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh and presided over the meeting.

The Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Professor Mahmood Ayyaz, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Ejaz Hussain, Professor Muhammad Moin, Professor Shahzad Shams, Professor Muhammad Imran, CEO Mayo Hospital Professor Muhammad Haroon Hamid, Dr. Nomia Ashraf, MS Dr. Ahsan and other faculty members were present on this occasion. DIGs (KEMCOLIAN) Dr. Inam Waheed and Ahsan Younis, SSP Admin Atif Nazir and SSP Amara Athar, SP Headquarters Abdullah Lak and other officers were present on this occasion.

The concerned officers briefed the caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram and IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar regarding the hospitals.
The caretaker Provincial Health Minister, Dr Javed Akram, expressed his views and said that Police Welfare Hospital Lahore of Punjab Police has been attached with King Edward Medical University/ Mayo Hospital, Police Welfare Hospital Gujranwala with Gujranwala Teaching Hospital and Police Welfare Hospital Rawalpindi with Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital.

He said that the police will create facilities for the patients coming to the welfare hospitals and paid tribute to the martyrs of the Punjab police.
Employees who are performing duties in Punjab Police are our children. Steps are being taken for the rehabilitation of Punjab Police Welfare Hospitals on the instructions of Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi. The main objective of police welfare hospitals under the management of Punjab Police with government teaching hospitals will provide better health facilities to police employees.

An agreement has also been signed between the Health Department and the Punjab Police in this regard. Training and capacity building of doctors and staff in Punjab Police Welfare Hospitals is being done. He further said that Under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi, they are trying to provide better health facilities to the people. IG Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, while commenting, said that for the improvement of Police Welfare Hospitals, he is thankful the supervising Provincial Health Minister, Dr. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz and other faculty members for their arrival.

Provision of health facilities for police employees is one of the main objective of Punjab Police, Health is a precious blessing of Allah. He further thanked to the Health Department for making arrangements for the screening of police personnel. Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Professor Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz expressed his opinion and said that King Edward Medical University will provide telemedicine facilities in Police Welfare Hospitals, while a roadmap has been drawn up for the improvement of Police Welfare Hospitals.
