Department of Neurosurgery KEMU organized a workshop on “TransLab Microdrilling”

The Department of Neurosurgery King Edward Medical University (KEMU) organized a groundbreaking workshop on “TransLab Microdrilling” as Preconference workshop of 43KEMUCON. The event, held on December 11th, 2023, brought together esteemed professionals, experts, and participants from various medical departments including Prof. Taimoor Latif (HOD ENT1) and Dr. Nukhbatullah (HOD ENT2)
Under the Chairmanship of Prof. Shahzad Shams, the Dean of Surgery and Allied Specialties, King Edward Medical University, Lahore the workshop highlighted the significance and utility of the TRANSLAB Approach for acoustic neuromas. Prof. Shams’s expertise and insights shed light on the latest advancements in the field, providing valuable knowledge to the attendees.
The workshop also featured Dr. Ammar bin Ahsan, a renowned Consultant Neurosurgeon and HOD Neurosurgery at DHQ, who served as the Master Trainer. Dr. Ahsan’s live demonstration of TransLab Microdrilling on human skulls showcased the practical application of these techniques.
In addition, Dr. Faiza Haneef from the Department of Anatomy at KEMU elaborated on the anatomy of the Temporal bone, further enriching the participants’ understanding of the subject matter.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Irfan Munir (President KEMCAANA), a distinguished consultant nephrologist from the USA, who served as the Chief Guest. Prof. Munir awarded certificates and souvenirs to the participants, recognizing their dedication and commitment to advancing medical knowledge.
