Hands on workshop on Esophageal stenting and Ercp was conducted by department of NMW today.

Faculty member KEMCANA Master trainer Dr. Waseem Azeez MD Consultant Gastroenterologist George Washington University USA delivered the pre workshop talk on Self expanding stents in the treatment of Esophageal and biliary diseases. Session was well attended by GI residents, House officers and medical students. Prof Dr Israr ul haq Head of NMW delivered the welcome address to all the participants. Session concluded with fruitful discussion on importance of metallic stents in GI procedures.

Professor Mahmood Ayyaz spoke on the importance of covered self expanding metal stents specially in leaks after bariatric surgery , esophageal varicosities and overcoming obstructions in colon due to cancer .Prof Dr.Imran delivered vote of thanks to master trainer Dr. Waseem Azeez. In the end Respected Vice chancellor Dr.Mahmood Ayaaz and COO Dr.Faisal Masood formally inaugurated the new image intensifier and ERCP suite of NMW. It was followed by Hands on procedure demonstration of Esophageal stenting and ERCP.
