Hands-on workshop on Initial Trauma Management, organized by Accident & Emergency Dept KEMU/MHL

A Hands-on workshop on ‘Initial Trauma Management’ was organized by Accident & Emergency Department KEMU, Mayo Hospital Lahore under guidance of HOD, Prof. Yar Muhammad.
Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University was the Patron in Chief & The Chief Guest of the event.
Prof. Syed Asghar Naqi, President Society of Surgeons of Pakistan, was the Guest of Honour.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz addressed the participants emphasizing the importance of Initial Trauma Management in saving lives and appreciated the team efforts for organizing such a useful workshop that will help residents to improve the clinical skills.
The Multi-disciplinary faculty included Prof. Zahra Ishrat, Prof. Yar Muhammad, Prof. Ahmed Uzair Qureshi, Dr. Syed Raza Naqvi, Dr. Kashif Naseer, Dr. Suhail Niazi, Dr. Saad and Dr. Saulat.
More than 40 participants from different hospitals attended the workshop with lectures from senior Faculty of KEMU and were trained in various aspects of dealing the patient of Trauma. Workshop covered every aspect of the topic through interactive and hands on stations.
The event was a pre-conference workshop and part of 21st SURGICON, a Biennial International Surgical Conference of Society of Surgeons of Pakistan Lahore Chapter.
