The Secretary of SHCMED Chaired a meeting of the Administrative Committee of MHL at KEMU

Mr. Ali Jan Khan, the Secretary of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Chaired a meeting of the administrative committee of Mayo Hospital at KEMU. The gathering included the Secretary of Finance, Mr. Mujahid Sherdil, Commissioner of Lahore Division, Mr. Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, CEO of Mayo Hospital Prof. Muhammad Haroon Hamid, Registrar Dr. Riasat Ali, and other attendees.

During the meeting, several important decisions were made. It was agreed that management committee meetings would be scheduled regularly. In-principle approval was granted for the procurement of new air-conditioners, directives were issued to expand the enrolment of patients under the health facility program, and discussions took place regarding the maintenance and repair of CT SCAN and other medical equipment. Additionally, the auction of outdated items from Mayo Hospital was sanctioned.

Administrative approval was also given for the Accident & Emergency department’s renovation, with immediate implementation by the Chief Minister’s directives. Furthermore, the proposed budget for Mayo Hospital for the current fiscal year received approval.
After the meeting, Secretary of Health Mr. Ali Jan Khan visited various wards within Mayo Hospital, where he assessed the progress of the emergency block’s relocation and commended the team for their dedicated efforts.
