PHEC Organized an International Students Convention for Currently Public and Private Sector of the Punjab

Punjab Higher Education Commission organized an International Students Convention for currently enrolled international students in public and private sector universities of the Punjab province.
The program aims to bridge the gap between foreign students of diverse cultures studying in different universities of Punjab province to promote interfaith harmony by increasing internationalization in the local universities. Moreover, the number of foreign students in the universities is one of the key parameters to enhance the international ranking of the universities, therefore, this event has helped attract more foreign students to study in Pakistan.
The event comprised various activities including stalls by International Students representing various countries, cultural performances, panel discussions by eminent speakers, participation of Ambassadors of various countries, Vice Chancellors of public and private universities, and other dignitaries.
On this occasion, expressing his views, Vice-Chancellor KEMU Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz highlighted the 162 years of excellent services of King Edward Medical University to ailing humanity.
He said that the Alumni of King Edward Medical University have a unique name and position not only in Pakistan but also in the whole world.
There are equal opportunities for scholarships for students at King Edward Medical University.
We want not only foreign students but also to encourage foreign faculty to be a part of King Edward Medical University.
Teaching training should be interactive and new experiences and research should be discussed.
He further said that we invite people from all over the world to be a part of Pakistan and King Edward Medical University so that the name of the country can shine all over the world.
Moreover, the international students of KEMU were very enthusiastic about presenting their culture before the dignitaries.
Kashmiri students even served their traditional food called “wazwan” which was relished by the governor of Punjab Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, Vice-chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, and other signatories. Students organized stalls and gifted “kangri” (traditional hot pot ) to the Chief Guest Chancellor, KEMU/ Governor of Punjab.
Students received certificates of appreciation for participating as panelists and for traditional song performances.
