President of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, Mr. Mike McKirdy, paid a visit to KEMU

President of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, Mr. Mike McKirdy, paid a visit to King Edward Medical University today. He was accompanied by Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, a distinguished former faculty member of King Edward Medical University and International Advisor to the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.

Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, the Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, warmly welcomed the esteemed guest. The faculty of Surgery, Medicine & Allied specialties were in attendance and had the opportunity to introduce themselves. During the visit, Prof Mahmood Ayyaz and Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry proposed a collaboration between RCPSG and KEMU ,through the CPSP scholarship program for training and research purposes.

Mr. Mike McKirdy addressed the audience and shared his positive experiences from his first trip to Pakistan. He expressed his admiration for the dedication and interest shown by healthcare professionals in Pakistan, noting the great potential for collaborative projects. Mr. McKirdy also highlighted the historical and current significance of the Royal College in the UK.

During his tour of the campus, Mr. Mike McKirdy showed a keen interest in the museum and various historical relics.
Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, VC KEMU, and Prof. Asghar Naqi, Registrar KEMU, presented gifts and a memento to Mr. Mike McKirdy as a token of appreciation for his visit and Prof Mike Mckirdy reciprocated with the same.

The event concluded with a fruitful discussion on potential collaborations and a commitment to further strengthen the ties between RCPSG and KEMU for the advancement of medical education and research.
