Seminar on “Management of Asthma beyond guidelines” at King Edward Medical University.
A very enlightening and informative seminar on “Management of Asthma beyond guidelines” was conducted by South Medical Ward, Mayo Hospital at audio visual conference room patiala block KEMU .
The session was organized by South Medical Ward in collaboration with Department of Pulmonology, KEMU graced by honourable Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Lahore Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz and senior members of KEMU’s Academic Council including Chairman of Department of Medicine Prof Muhammad Imran HOD East Medical Ward, Prof Dr Adil Iqbal HOD West Medical Ward, Dr Israr ul Haque Toor HOD North Medical Ward, Prof Dr Shandana Tarique HOD SMW , Prof Dr Saira Afzal HOD community medicine with all the respective faculty of department of medicine.
The session was formally inaugurated with the recitation of Holy Quran.
Dr Warda Senior Registrar gave a brief introduction about the seminar and she welcomed the distinguished guests and the esteemed senior faculty members.
Renowed speakers Dr Shehnoor Tarique (MBBS, FCPS MRCP UK MRCP Respiratory Medicine Lecturer Cardiff University) and Dr Asif Hanif (MBBS FCPS DTCD Pulmonology) HOD Pulmonology shared their expert opinion and clinical experiences with the Audience.
Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz addressed the audience sharing his valuable experience encountering patients with Asthma and appreciated the efforts by South Medical Ward. Vice Chancellor expressed his satisfaction over the continuous professional development efforts of KEMU and appreciated the regular involvement of the foreign faculty in the exchange of knowledge and expertise development by the KEMU Illumini. He expressed his determined desire to continuously improve the academic excellence of the university.
The session was attended by teaching faculty, PG trainees, house officers,students and the nursing staff of all the medical department and pulmonology department.
The formal presentations and discussion were followed by an energetic question/answer session by panel of expert.
Prof Dr Shandana Tarique, HOD South Medical Ward concluded the session with vote of thanks.
