Special instructions of Worthy CM, meeting of Academic Council was held regarding the Revamping of MHL

On the special instructions of Worthy Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, a meeting of the Academic Council was held regarding the Revamping of Mayo Hospital. A detailed visit by the Chief Minister of Punjab was made on Monday which he remained in the hospital for 3.5 hours, in which it was decided that in the first phase, the Outdoor block, Emergency block, the old ( clock tower building) especially the ENT ward, would be revamped Mayo Hospital will be while the second phase includes the repair and maintenance of all the other wards.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahmood Ayyaz has issued instructions to the heads of all departments to inform the vice chancellors office about the needs of construction and repair as well as other facilities in their respective departments.
On this occasion, the KEMU team joined with the team of the Communication and Works Department to draw up a master plan with consultation in two days, which will be implemented after the approval of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
Under this project, in a short period of 4 months, all the wards of Mayo Hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including operation theatres, and infrastructural development to provide modern facilities and treatment to the patients coming to the Mayo Hospital.
The two-day meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer Mayo Hospital Professor Mohammad Haroon Hamid, the medical superintendent Munir Ahmad sahib Deans, the Chairman of the department, and senior officials of the Communication and Works Department Punjab.
