The 164th Annual Sports Week of King Edward Medical University commenced with “The Colour Day”

The 164th Annual Sports Week of King Edward Medical University commenced with “The Colour Day”.

The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, Prof. Mike McKirdy and Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry. Mike McKirdy is a graduate of Glasgow University Medical college. He remained vice president of surgery.

He has been a professional adviser to scottish government global citizenship program. In a world where brilliance is a rare gem, Mckidry shines with unparalleled brilliance, casting a celestial glow upon this gathering. Professor Dr. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry is a renowned surgeon, educationist and an administrator. He is famous for his professionalism and academic interests.

Pro VC Prof. ljaz Hussain, Prof. Asghar Naqi, Staff President Prof. Abrar Ashraf Ali ,Prof. Faisal Masood Prof. Saira Afzal, Prof. M Imran, Prof. Zara Ishrat, Prof. Farhana Sajjad and Dr. Somia Iqtadar graced the event with their presence. The event started with the recitation of The Holy Quran, Naat and National Anthem.
The torchbearers passed the torch to the Sports Secretaries Ushna Azam, Salman Khan and VC opened the event officially.

All the classes marched in their unique colours. The event included interclass volleyball final match (boys) between final year and 3rd year. Final year won it with clear margin. There were athletic events like races and “Tug of War” between the classes. With this successful day, a fun-packed Sports week is heralded.
