The 64th Meeting of Syndicate was presided over by Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical

The 64th Meeting Syndicate was held at King Edward Medical University.
The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz and Prof. Syed Asghar Naqi performed the duties as secretary Syndicate.

On this occasion, Mr. Justice Shehram Sarwar Ch, Member Public Service Commission Dr. Pervaiz Ahmed Khan, Vice Chancellor Punjab University Prof. Khalid Mehmood, Vice Chancellor Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University Professor Tanveer Ahmad Khaliq, Former President Bank of Punjab Hamesh Khan, Additional Secretary SHC&MED Mrs. Shahida Farrukh, Deputy Secretary Finance Tayyab Hayat, Pro VC Professor Ijaz Hussain, CEO Mayo Hospital Professor Muhammad Haroon Hamid, Deans, and MSs were also present.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the ongoing and completed projects in the university and informed the participants about the plans.
Newly appointed registrar of King Edward Medical University Professor Syed Asghar Naqi was also welcomed at the meeting. The services of the out going registrar dr Riasat Ali were highlighted and appreciated and it was acknowledged that he was very effective in making rules and regulations for the university.

The Vice-Chancellor enlightened the participants on the ongoing project on artificial intelligence in the university. In the meeting, approval was given for the establishment of the biobank, the appointment of staff of the ORIC department, approval of the appointment of the chairman of the departments of radiology, cardiology, and the department of pathology.

The budget for 2023 and 2024 was also approved on this occasion . For the convenience of the students , faculty and administrative staff in the university premises, the establishment of a bank branch, was allowed . Allowance for disabled employees, and the increase in the university employees was enhanced and were approved.

The curriculum of Mphil postgraduate students was also approved in the meeting. The Vice-Chancellor informed the participants about the energy saving and plans and the amount of money saved after the establishment of the solar system in the university. He informed the participants about the student scholarship. He said that our real asset is our Alumni, whose efforts have given more than 300 scholarships.

In the meeting, the establishment of a student reading room and cafeteria was greatly appreciated by the personal efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Mohsin Raza Naqvi. And the students and the faculty are extremely happy about the new facility Professor Mahmood Ayyaz said that we wish that the name and status of King Edward Medical University would be place on a much higher pedestal.

The syndicate members appreciated the performance and efforts of the university under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz and praised the ongoing development projects, and academic, and research programs in the university. Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Khalid Mehmood appreciated the research programs in the university and assured further cooperation in this regard.

Member Punjab Public Service Commission Dr. Pervaiz Ahmed Khan said that I am grateful to the Vice Chancellor and the administration for the recent development, I am proud to be a KEMCOLIAN and I am always available to serve the Almamatter. On this occasion, Mr. Justice Shehram Sarwar Ch, who is one of the most reliable and well-known legal experts, said that it is a matter of pride for me to become a syndicate member in the best medical institution in the country, the Vice Chancellor is a dynamic personality whose tireless efforts for The University and its attached hospitals are providing exemplary services for which I congratulate the Vice-Chancellor and his faculty.

I pray that this journey of development continues. The vice chancellor of SMBBU prof Tanvir Khaliq joined the meeting online from Islamabad and guided the university for the development of the ORIC department . The extreme supportive role by the SCH@ME (Mrs Shahida Farrukh )and the Finance department ( Mr Tayyab Hayat )was very evident and it was well acknowledged .
