Community Medicine Department , KEMU organized a crash course on the integration of (AI) in Medical Research

The Department of Community Medicine, King Edward Medical University Lahore organized a crash course on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical research, facilitated by Professor Farooq Azam Rathore, Consultant rehabilitation medicine, alongside esteemed speakers such as Professor Mahmood Ayyaz Vice Chancellor KEMU, Professor Saira Afzal Dean Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Professor Shehzad Shams, founding director of KEMU AI Lab.

The event aimed to elucidate the significance of AI in healthcare and familiarize participants with practical applications of AI tools and was attended by a number of faculty and postgraduate students.

Through interactive sessions and case studies, participants gained insights into AI’s transformative potential in healthcare, emphasizing the need for continued adaptation and innovation in this rapidly evolving field.

The crash course served as a platform for the knowledge exchange for fostering a deeper understanding of AI’s role in driving advancements and improving patient outcomes through medical research and practice.
