The parallel session during the 43rd KEMUCON, led by Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Prof Mahmood Ayyaz, discussed crucial policy matters regarding the World Federation of Medical Education accreditation for Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and Pakistani Medical Institutions.

Emphasis was placed on aligning standards with global best practices, fostering collaboration, continuous evaluation, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. Participants were briefed about the adoption of an updated curriculum, which includes modules on artificial intelligence and robotic surgery, showcasing the university’s commitment to innovation.

Additionally, the establishment of a biobank and clinical trials unit marks a significant milestone for the institution. The meeting involved key stakeholders, including Dr. Adeel Siddiqui a renowned bureaucrat and KEMU alumnus, the Pro VC and Registrar KEMU, presidents of KEMCANA USA and KEMCA UK, faculty members, and guests from KEMCANA.
