The 163rd Annual Sports Week of King Edward Medical University Commenced with “The Colour Day”

The 163rd Annual Sports Week of King Edward Medical University commenced with “The Colour Day”. The event was inaugurated by the worthy Pro VC Prof. Dr. Ijaz Hussain and Dean of Neurosurgery Prof. Dr Shehzad Shams. Prof. Dr. Asghar Naqi, Prof. Dr. Imran, Registrar Dr. Riasat Ali, Dr. Saqib Sohail, and Dr Farhana graced the event with their presence.

The event started with the recitation of The Holy Quran, Naat and National Anthem. The torchbearers passed the torch to the Sports Secretaries Muhammad Raif and Hamail Malik Gunjial and Pro VC opened the event officially. All the classes marched in their unique colours. Final Year was awarded the best award for Stall decoration by Dr. Shehzad Shams.

The event included athletic events like races and “Tug of War” between the classes. A badminton match was also played between students and the Professor of Physiology Dr.Saqib Sohail which Dr. Saqib Sohail dominated in every set. With this successful day, a fun-packed Sports week is heralded.
