VC KEMU chaired an Important Meeting Regarding the ongoing Revamping Projects of Mayo Hospital Lahore

Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University chaired an important meeting regarding the ongoing Revamping projects of Mayo hospital Lahore.

The meeting was convened regarding final stages of the revamping project of Accident & Emergency Department Mayo Hospital and immediate implementation of PITB software in accordance with the Chief Minister’s directives.

The meeting was attended by CEO Prof. Ahsan Nauman, COO Prof. Faisal Masood, Registrar KEMU Prof. Asghar Naqi, Prof. Abrar Ashraf, Prof. Ahmed Uzair, Dr. Khalid, Dr. Suhail, Dr. Salman and representatives from PITB.

This high-priority project is part of a special initiative by the Chief Minister of Punjab aimed at revitalizing and upgrading government hospitals. The project’s objective includes the enhancement of the A&E Dept. Mayo Hospital Lahore thereby providing state-of-the-art facilities, including new operation theatres to deliver modern patient care and treatment.

Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, along with his team, thoroughly reviewed the requirements of the Mayo hospital and proposals of the PITB put forward regarding installation of software as well as hardware infrastructure. During the meeting, several important decisions were made. It was agreed that PITB will start the software in the new setup on priority.

The Vice Chancellor issued instructions regarding modifications and upgrades based on input from the end user. He also suggested to ensure the addition and integration of specific modules of Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy in the software to stop the pilferage and minimize the time thereby ensuring the best services to the patients.

The chair was also briefed that the project is progressing fast and will be concluded within first week of Jan. 2024 leading up to inauguration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz showed satisfaction regarding the progress of the project and commended the team for their dedicated efforts.
