VC KEMU, presided a meeting focused on the revamping projects of MHL, in collaboration ‘Friends of Mayo Hospital’

*Professor Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz,* Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, presided over a crucial meeting focused on the revamping projects of Mayo Hospital Lahore, in collaboration with the esteemed philanthropic organization, *Friends of Mayo Hospital.*

The meeting was convened to provide comprehensive updates on the progress of various revamping initiatives at Mayo Hospital, with a specific emphasis on high-priority projects such as the Revamping of the *Maxillofacial Department.*

During the session, the renowned Consultant Architect, *Mr. Kalim Siddiqui* from KS & Associates, delivered a detailed presentation on the current state of the historic *East & North Surgical wards.* The presentation included visual documentation of the current conditions, accompanied by concept drawings to underscore the necessity for renovation.

*Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz* and his team meticulously evaluated the proposals and engaged in extensive discussions to explore viable solutions. The proposed solutions were formulated with a focus on delivering optimal services for both patients and healthcare professionals.

The Vice Chancellor commended the remarkable advancements made by Friends of Mayo Hospital, specifically noting the successful completion of the *Paediatric Surgery ward,* which exemplifies the team’s commitment and hard work. The assembly unequivocally expressed deep appreciation for the exceptional services and steadfast dedication exhibited by *Mrs. Fatima Fazal* and *Mrs. Ambreen Irfan* in leading numerous projects at Mayo Hospital in recent years.

Their outstanding contributions have greatly enhanced the healthcare facilities and significantly enriched the healthcare landscape at the institution.
