Vision Cricket League, College of Ophthalmology and Allied Vision Sciences held at KEMU.
At the closing ceremony of the seven-day Vision Cricket League, Professor Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice-Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, expressed that he wanted the students of his university to spend time in playground, instead of playing with mobile phones indoors. Describing the cricket league as a great opportunity for physical development, he said that a healthy body nurtures focus and mindfulness so that you can perform your academic and medical role to the best of your ability. He further suggested Pakistan blind cricket team and our traditional sport “Kabaddi”must be promoted on university ground next time.
Professor Muhammad Moin, Principal, College of Ophthalmology and Allied Vision Sciences announced that we will invite Pakistan Blind Cricket Team on World Sight Day and endorses that they are the best ambassadors for this organization which is working for Sight restoration and Vision rehabilitation. He thanked Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Asghar Naqi, Dean Allied Health Sciences, Prof. Saira Afzal, Dean Public Health, Prof. Asad Aslam Khan, Professor emeritus, Ms. Sara Ikram and Ayesha Saleem, for joining the closing ceremony to encourage the students. Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice-Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, Mohammad Moin, Principal, College of Ophthalmology and Allied Vision Sciences awarded trophies and prizes to the winning teams.
