WHITE COAT CEREMONY WITH CHIEF JUSTICE LAHORE HIGH COURT AT KEMU.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, graced the King Edward Medical University with his presence at the White Coat Ceremony, honouring the top 325 meritorious MBBS students from across Punjab who were admitted to the prestigious institution.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ijaz Hussain, Registrar KEMU Prof. Dr. Asghar Naqi, Prof. Saira Afzal, Prof. Farhana Sajjad, Prof. Abrar Ashraf Ali, Prof. Muhammad Moin, Prof. Saqib Sohail, along with faculty members, students, and parents. During the ceremony, Chief Justice Lahore High Court administered the oath to the students for the 2024 session, following the traditions of prestigious universities like Cambridge and Oxford.

Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, in his address, welcomed the students, highlighting the institution’s commitment to merit, with an impressive 97.0455 percent this year. He emphasized the challenges and rewards of the noble medical profession and encouraged the students to uphold principles of sincerity, honesty, and diligence. He further said that the real person worthy of congratulations for today’s ceremony are your parents, whose hard work of day and night got you to this position.

Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti congratulated the students and their parents, acknowledging the historical significance of King Edward Medical University in medical education. He stressed the importance of acquiring not only advanced clinical skills but also fundamental principles such as ethics and human compassion. CJ LHC praised the institution’s rich history and expressed hope for its continued growth as a center of medical research and excellence, both nationally and internationally, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz.
