Successful Conclusion of Hands-On Workshop on PDPs & E-Portfolios in Faculty Development under leadership of Prof Dr Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice Chancellor KEMU & Patron in Chief and Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal, Chairman department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Prof Dr Faisal Masood, Chief executive officer Mayo Hospital Lahore.
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery unit 1 , Mayo Hospital/King Edward Medical University Lahore, successfully concluded its Hands-On Workshop today facilitated by Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Workshop Chairman, and Dr Muhammad Akram, Workshop Director, marking another milestone in professional development and medical education.
The workshop witnessed the active participation of doctors and healthcare professionals from diverse fields, including orthopaedics, medicine, and orthotics, alongside esteemed faculty members from King Edward Medical University & Qarshi University.
Event Highlights:
🔹 Opening Ceremony – The workshop commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an inaugural address by Dr. M. Akram, Workshop Director and Associate Professor Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Mayo Hospital Lahore.
🔹 Chief Speaker & Master trainer– The Work shop’s success was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Prof Dr Saima Rafique, Professor of Gynaecology UCMD, UOL.
🔹 Chief Guest – The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Imran, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Continental Medical College, as the Chief Guest.
🔹 Speakers & Hands-On Training – Renowned faculty members and experts delivered insightful lectures and conducted practical training sessions, enhancing the knowledge and clinical skills of participants. The distinguished speakers included:

🔹 Interactive Hands-On Training of 2 hours on laptops by dedicated efforts entirely by Prof Dr Saima Rafique – Participants engaged in practical learning focused on Professional Development Portfolios (PDPs) and E-Portfolios, gaining hands-on experience in faculty development, clinical documentation, and digital competency.
The faculty and organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants and speakers for their valuable contributions in making this workshop a success. At the end of the Workshop Certificates & Shields were distributed among faculty and participants and A Group Photograph was taken.
CME Credit Hours were awarded under King Edward Medical University (KEMU) & Higher Education Commission (HEC) to acknowledge the professional learning achievements of the attendees.
