Consultative Meeting and Training Sessions with Focal Persons of QEC-KEMU, Lecturers of AHS, Coordinators of COVAS, Physiotherapy and Nursing

Consultative Meetings and Training Sessions were held in Quality Enhancement Cell under patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof Khalid Masood Gondal and Director QEC Prof Dr Saira Afzal. Three rounds of Consultative Meetings with the program directors of various academic programs have been completed and many more have been scheduled under the visionary guidance of the Vice Chancellor in coming weeks . Training Sessions of focal persons were divided into various activities. Three working groups were formulated with leads and volunteers among the focal persons for academic programs, research publications and feedbacks and Surveys. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal VC King Edward Medical University was the chief guest of the inauguration of training sessions and in his address he emphasized the importance of quality enhancement activities, international rankings and research. He advised the focal persons to increase their research publications and dissemination. He also appreciated the researchers who are using ResearchGate (www.researchgate.net) for sharing knowledge, and giving reliable and timely information about latest advancements in medical profession.

Dr Ammara Waqar, PhD was a facilitator in the training course and told about self assessments, SWOT analysis and program reviews.

Prof Saira Afzal, PhD, Director QEC gave an overview of the challenges and needs for increasing the quality of programs and curriculum development.

Prof Ijaz Hussain, Pro-VC, Prof Asghar Naqi, Chairperson Department of Surgery, Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson Department of Medicine, Incharge Telemedicine Department. Prof Farhana Sajid, Prof Muhammad Mustehsan Bashir, Dr Riasat Ali Registrar King Edward Medical University, Dr Fariha Salman, Dr Mimpal Singh, Dr Nukhbat, Dr Saira Tariq and many other faculty members actively participated in the session. Answers were given by the Vice Chancellor to the questions of the participants.

In the end, Souvenirs were presented to the facilitators and participants for their intellectual contributions and active participation. In the future, many training sessions consultative meetings and professional activities will be held under QEC in collaboration with other universities and HEC.
