CME Mock Examination for FCPS-II Medicine Successfully conducted at King Edward Medical University and Mayo Hospital
Under the auspices of the Department of West Medical Ward, King Edward Medical University and Mayo Hospital Lahore, the One Day Clinical Medical Excellence (CME) Mock Examination for FCPS-II Medicine was successfully conducted. The purpose of this examination was to practically present the standards and structure of real clinical assessments and to familiarize the students with the actual examination environment.
Through this mock examination, the theoretical knowledge, clinical reasoning, effective communication, and procedural skills of the students were evaluated so that they may deliver high-quality patient care in the future.
The examination consisted of OSCE, MCQs, and case-based scenarios, covering important aspects such as diagnosis, treatment planning, patient safety, and evidence-based practice. The participants were given the opportunity to not only assess their preparation and identify shortcomings but also to promote continuous learning, critical thinking, decision-making, and the ability to implement updated clinical guidelines.
The event was attended by the honorable Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, as Patron-in-Chief and Registrar of KEMU, Prof. Dr. Asghar Naqi, and COO of Mayo Hospital, Dr. Abdul Muzabbar Rehan attended as distinguished guests.
Furthermore, other senior faculty members and medical educationists, including Head of the Department East Medical Ward, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran; Head of the Department North Medical Ward, Prof. Dr. Israr ul Haq; Head of the Department West Medical Ward, Prof. Dr. Imran Hassan Khan; Head of the Department South Medical Ward, Prof. Dr. Samina Saeed; Dr. Rabia Rathore, Prof. Aftab Mohsin, Prof. Tariq Waseem, Dr Somia Iqtidar , Dr. Hina Latif form FJMU, Dr. Wardah Hameed, Dr. Anam Bangash, Dr. Mubeen Raza, Dr. Nasir Farooq Butt, Dr. Sumaiya Shabbir, Dr. Umer Khalil, Dr. Farrukh Ghias, Dr. Hassan Mehmood, Dr. Madiha Abbas, Dr. Abdul Rauf and Dr. Raja Noman also actively participated in the ceremony.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, remarked:
