14th AHA BLS Provider Course Successfully Concluded at King Edward Medical University
Lahore: The 14th Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course, under the American Heart Association, was successfully held at the International Training Center (ITC), King Edward Medical University. The course was supervised by AHA Regional Faculty Prof. Dr. Abrar Ashraf Ali, with training delivered by Dr. Hina Latif (Associate Professor, FJMU) and Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Sajid Jahangir.
Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, attended the event as Chief Guest, accompanied by Registrar Prof. Syed Asghar Naqi, Prof. Haroon Hameed, and Associate Professor Umar Warriach.

This one-day training program was held on September 17, 2025, and provided participants with comprehensive training on essential BLS components, including:
🔹 1-Rescuer Adult BLS and Chain of Survival
🔹 Use of AED and Bag-Mask Device
🔹 2-Rescuer BLS and Special Considerations
🔹 Advanced Airway Management, Rescue Breathing, and Maternal Cardiac Arrest
🔹 High-Performance Team Dynamics and Local Protocols Discussion
🔹 Child and Infant BLS, and Management of Choking Emergencies
At the end of the course, participants underwent a skills test and written examination to assess both their practical and theoretical competencies.
