Successful Completion of the 6th PAPS Preparatory Exam Course in Plastic Surgery.
We are proud to announce the successful completion of the two-day 6th PAPS Preparatory Exam Course in Plastic Surgery, organized by Mayo Burn Centre & Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery, King Edward Medical University in collaboration with the Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgeons (PAPS), held on October 4-5, 2024, at Samina Hall, Maqbool Ahmad Block, King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
The course was attended by over 40 esteemed faculty members from across the country, including Peshawar, Karachi, Multan, Bahawalpur, and the various plastic surgery units of Lahore.
Distinguished dignitaries included Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Moin, Prof. Mustehsan Bashir, HOD of Mayo Burn Centre & Department of Plastic Surgery, Prof. Tahmeedullah, President of the Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgeons, Prof. Moazzam Nazeer Tarar, Dean of Plastic Surgery at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Prof. Farid A. Khan, Former Dean of Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore and Ex Registrar KEMU. Dr. Farrukh Aslam, Secretary of the Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgeons, also played a key role in organizing the event.
The course attracted over 70 participants from all over Pakistan, including Lahore, Peshawar, Islamabad, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Karachi, and Hyderabad.
The first day began with an inauguration ceremony presided over by VC KEMU, who thanked the PAPS , specially professor Mustehsan bashir for organising this nationwide course and emphasised on the participants the value of this course , This was followed by MOCK TOACS exams, a guided tour of KEMU, and a conference dinner in the evening.
The second day featured MOCK exams for long and short cases and panel discussion sessions.
Participants praised the event’s organization, the beautiful venue, and the generous hospitality extended by KEMU.
This event was a resounding success in preparing plastic surgery residents for their upcoming exams and fostering collaboration across the country.
