The Department of Dermatology, Unit II, KEMU in collaboration with DOTS( Dermoscopy Onychoscopy, Trichoscopy Society of Pakistan), successfully conducted a comprehensive and insightful workshop on Dermoscopy, titled “Dermoscopy 360° – Basic to Brilliance”, today 19 September 2025.
The event witnessed overwhelming attendance from participants across Lahore and other cities of Pakistan, reflecting the growing interest and need for skill development in this essential diagnostic modality.
We were honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz Vice Chancellor KEMU, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. He highlighted the growing significance of dermoscopy in clinical dermatology as the need of the hour. He also presented shields of appreciation to the distinguished speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions.
We were privileged to have among our esteemed faculty and guests: Prof. Dr Asghar Naqi Registrar KEMU, Prof. Dr. Tahir Jamil (President DOTS) ,Prof. Dr. Ijaz Hussain, Prof. Dr. Aneela Asghar.
The workshop featured state-of-the-art lectures, covering basic to advanced dermoscopy and trichoscopy, with a special focus on the diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions. To ensure wider outreach, the session was also streamed online via Zoom, enabling doctors nationwide to participate remotely.
The day concluded with a brief interactive quiz session, marked by enthusiastic participation from attendees, adding an element of engagement and learning reinforcement.
