The American Heart Association International Training Center was inaugurated at King Edward Medical University

Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Moin, Professor Muhammad Imran, Professor Abrar Ashraf Ali, Professor Ahmed Uzair Qureshi, Professor Saira Afzal, Professor Muhammad Haroon Hamid, Professor Zara Ishrat, and Dr. Somia Iqtadar, along with a large number of faculty members and doctors.

Dr. Hina Latif served as the stage secretary, while Dr. Sajid Jahangir delivered the welcome address. Vice Chancellor Professor Mahmood Ayyaz inaugurated the BLS franchise.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Mahmood Ayyaz stated that this achievement is a significant milestone for King Edward Medical University in terms of medical education and training for the protection of human lives. He emphasized that acquiring life-saving training is essential for all to save human life.

Professor Mushtaq Haroon expressed his gratitude, stating that this honor is a valuable gift for King Edward Medical University. He encouraged everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.

Professor Abrar Ashraf highlighted the services of CPSP for BLS and appreciated the patronage of Professor Mahmood Ayyaz for establishing the BLS franchise. He emphasized that this initiative will continue, and similar efforts will be seen in the future.

Professor Muhammad Imran praised the role of Professor Abrar Ashraf, Professor Ahmed Uzair Qureshi, and their team in promoting medical education and research. He emphasized the importance of the Basic Life Support Course for doctors and the general public.

Professor Ahmad Uzair Qureshi shared that 70,000 doctors have got BLS training from different platforms of American Heart Association in Pakistan over the past 15 years. He announced that this training will now be available at King Edward Medical University and will be extended to offices, banks, schools, shopkeepers, and the general public.

Professor Muhammad Moin congratulated the team on the establishment of the American Heart Association International Training Center at King Edward Medical University. He emphasized that this initiative will enhance the institution’s quality and reputation.
