The first session of the 10th batch of the Certificate in Health Professional Education (CHPE) course was held at King Edward Medical University (KEMU) from March 30 to April 2, 2026.

The course was conducted under the distinguished leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, whose unwavering commitment to academic excellence and professional development continues to inspire. In his interaction with the participants, he emphasized the crucial role of medical education in strengthening the healthcare system and encouraged them to integrate their learning into everyday clinical practice.

This four-day module, hosted at the AI Lab, Jinnah Block, consisted of 11 interactive sessions. The opening session was led by Prof. Dr. Mustahsan Bashir, who presented a clear overview of the module’s objectives, structure, and expected outcomes. He also highlighted the content designed by Dr. Muhammad Sohail, emphasizing its relevance, alignment with local healthcare needs, and thoughtful organization.

Prof. Dr. Abrar Ashraf Ali, Director of Medical Education, emphasized that the course enhances understanding, refines teaching skills, and promotes reflective practice, enabling participants to apply educational principles effectively in their clinical and teaching roles.

Experienced faculty members from KEMU and other esteemed institutions contributed significantly by sharing their expertise and practical insights. Facilitators actively guided discussions, stimulated critical thinking, and ensured effective linkage between theoretical knowledge and clinical application.
