
King Edward Medical University, Advanced Temporal Bone & Endoscopic Ear Surgery Workshop
King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore, has made history by hosting its first-ever highly specialized Temporal Bone & Endoscopic Ear Surgery Hands-on Workshop, marking a significant milestone in the field of ENT surgery in Pakistan. The workshop brought together leading experts, surgeons, and trainee doctors from across the country, offering them world-class training and exposure.
The workshop was held under the patronage of Vice Chancellor KEMU, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Latif Malik, and was organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Taimoor Latif Malik, Chairman ENT Department, KEMU.
Renowned international master trainers including Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Javed Khan (UK), Dr. Muhammad Szafi bin Muhammad Saad (Malaysia), and Dr. Rubendra (Nepal) participated in the workshop, providing participants with a unique opportunity to learn advanced surgical techniques and global best practices firsthand.
The workshop delivered intensive, hands-on training in Temporal Bone Dissection and Endoscopic Ear Surgery, distinguished by close, real-time supervision from senior faculty. Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz was actively engaged on the floor, guiding and mentoring trainees during live dissection. The session drew enthusiastic participation from young doctors and surgeons across the country, further strengthening structured, skill-based surgical training in Pakistan.
