The Second Day of the workshop on Knee & Hip Joint Replacement was organized by the Department of Orthopaedics Unit-II, King Edward Medical University in collaboration with the Pakistan Arthroplasty Society.
The Chief Guest for the event was the President College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan and Vice-Chancellor FJMU, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal.
The Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz gave the welcome address and chaired the morning session.
The workshop faculty for 2nd day included Prof. Shahid Noor, Prof. Tahseen Riaz, Prof. Rana Dil Awaiz Nadeem, Dr. Irfan-ul-Haq, Prof. Amin Chinoy, Dr. Tanveer Sadiq, Prof. Arif Khan, Dr. Israr Ahmed, Dr. Nasir Ahmed, Prof. Tariq Sohail, Prof. Naeem Ahmed, Dr. Mumraiz Salik, and Dr. Suhail Niazi. The objective of the workshop was to train the participants in the latest surgical techniques for knee & hip joint replacements. The participants included consultants and postgraduate trainees who were given hands-on training.
While addressing the participants Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal briefed them about the different initiatives of CPSP for the specialty programs and praised the academic activities of the Orthopaedics Department, at King Edward Medical University. He congratulated the Vice Chancellor and his team for organizing the national-level workshop.
The Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, expressed his gratitude to the chief guest for sparing his precious time for the academic event. He told the audience that various educational programs have been planned in the academic calendar at King Edward Medical University.
The Course Director, Prof. Faisal Masood, gave a vote of thanks to the experts who came for this activity from orthopedic departments all over Pakistan to train the participants in the latest skills. It will help to upgrade the expertise and will serve the patients coming to Mayo Hospital.
